Training for my Kilimanjaro Challenge, raising awareness and much needed funds for Prostate Cancer UK.

Kilimanjaro Expedition – Training Blog

As the expedition to Kilimanjaro comes ever closer, I’m getting in as much training as possible!
With support from the corporate sponsors and the wonderfully generous individuals donating to my JustGiving I know it’s not only my physical and development that’s on the line, but also everyone’s hopes and encouragement.

I would absolutely love to be training in the hills, getting in some serious mountain miles, but with the crazy workload of both Stuart James Photography – got to love a crazy busy wedding season!! – and the corporate projects currently on the edit and shoot schedule for Emotive Eye, for me it’s been about getting in the miles, improving my cardio fitness and getting the legs in shape.

I got into running seriously a couple of years ago, then fell out of training after a winter fall left me with a broken hand, and never got back into it last year. However, with the Kili challenge around the corner I’ve loved getting right back in.

Aiming for at least two (if not three!) training sessions a week, I’m enjoying pushing myself to both do better and be better – and knowing that every mile pushed on the roads around Chelyn Hay and Great Wyrley, will make the trek both more enjoyable and also more possible!!

If you want to keep in touch with my efforts, you can follow me on Strava here !

And finally, for those who have already donated, whether through Corporate Sponsorship or through personal support I really appreciate it.
I promise to both make you proud, and support your company as you have supported me raising awareness and funds for Prostate Cancer UK.

Here’s to the climb!
