Kilimanjaro 2019
A #Marchformen challenge
A special opportunity
When presented with such a fabulous opportunity to raise awareness and funds for a vital charity, I had to pull on my boots and head to the top of Africa to raise the flag for ProstateCancerUK!
The expedition
Only a few days ago, I was presented with a wonderful opportunity to join a small group on their quest to ascend to the top of Kilimanjaro, the highest point in Africa, and the world’s highest free-standing mountain – and one mighty challenge!
A varied group of individuals, raising money for fabulous local and national charities.
Leaving the comfort of home, we are flying out to Tanzania with an aim to summit Uhuru Peak.
With serious high-altitude hikes, and temperates ranging from +35°C to below freezing on the summit, we will be trekking over 70 kilometres along the Lemosho route over eight days.
None of us are under any illusions this will be anything other than a physical, mental and emotional challenge, which is why supporting such a worthwhile cause is so important.

Why prostate cancer uk?
10 years to tame prostate cancer
Joining the awareness campaign and joining Men United, to help the movement for all those who believe men are worth fighting for.
I personally believe ProstateCancerUK deserves all the support – both in fundraising and awareness, to help them provide such a valuable and needed service.
Helping to make a difference
Help to fund research into better ways to diagnose, treat and cure prostate cancer.
Fundraise to help provide vital servcies to support men and their families.
Support ProstateCancerUK to help their campaign on behalf of men to ensure their needs are met.
Help bridge the funding gap
As a charity that receives no government funding, and relies entirely on the Men United supporters to raise funds and awareness, my #marchformen challenge will help in just a small way to support the fight against prostate cancer.
The facts and figures speak for themselves. It’s time to act!
HOW CAN YOU HELP?
I need your help!
I need your help in two ways:
- Help raise awareness of what we’re doing!
Share the hastags #kili2019 and #marchformen - Help fundraise with us!
There are two ways this is possible, regular donations through our JustGiving page, but more excitingly, our Corporate Sponsorship possibilities!
